A thoughtful approach to important responsibilities.
Choosing someone to manage your affairs or carry out your wishes is a deeply personal decision. It requires confidence in that person's judgment, integrity, and ability to navigate complicated circumstances.

Founder | California Licensed Professional Fiduciary #1673
Before becoming a professional fiduciary, I spent more than 20 years at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, working with children, young adults, and families navigating special needs and complex circumstances. My roles spanned clinical work, program management, operations, and executive leadership.
That work taught me how to navigate complicated systems, coordinate across disciplines, make thoughtful decisions, and keep moving when circumstances aren’t simple.
I also bring extensive business and operational experience as Chief Operating Officer of The Best Notary, where I work closely with estate planning professionals, and as a co-founder of Trustody.ai where we connect people to trusted advisors.
Why I Became a Professional Fiduciary
Throughout my career, I’ve often been the person helping people make sense of complicated situations and figure out what needs to happen next. Fiduciary work felt like a natural extension of that experience.
I was also seeing a practical problem: many people are planning for the future without a family member or friend who is available, willing, or well suited to take on these responsibilities. Others have people they love and trust but would simply prefer an independent professional.
My own experience after my mother’s death made this especially personal. It reinforced for me that good estate planning isn’t only about having the right documents. The people chosen to carry them out matter too.
That combination of professional experience and personal perspective led me to establish The SteEli Group.

Stephanie's psychology practice is separate from The SteEli Group. The SteEli Group does not provide psychological services, and Stephanie does not provide psychological services to individuals for whom she serves in a fiduciary capacity.
Beyond the office
Outside of work, I love traveling, photography, discovering food from around the world, swimming anywhere the water is warm and turquoise, and housesitting an ever-changing cast of adorable pets.
